An upcoming PDF Liberation Hackathon is aimed at raising developers' skills in unlocking data from PDF sources. The hackathon will be held onsite in Washington D.C. and in San Francisco on Jan. 17 - 19, 2014, while international developers can also compete remotely. Twitter has reversed its decision to shut off API access to Politwoops, a service that tracks and posts the deleted tweets of politicians. Twitter shut down API access for the U.S. Politwoops site in June of last year, and the remaining Politwoops websites lost API access a few months later.
