Evented API

Eventing refers to asynchronous communication methods. In other words, the integration is not instantaneous, such as in a standard HTTP request-response format. With eventing, actions are triggered by events. These events could be a chat message, voice command, email, payment, or even a GitHub code push. The eventing system will register this and automatically initiate a separate action or network request. Eventing is different than the typical request-response format used by most web APIs that adopt HTTP. Eventing is handy for IoT (Internet of Things) devices that infrequently communicate on the edge of networks. Eventing is common among communication styles like WebHooks and Kafka.
