MSE

Media Source Extensions (MSE) is a web API suite enabling web browsers to stream audio and video. MSE is built for the modern world of live streaming. Instead of playing an entire video clip, streaming applications instead splice together many small chunks of media. As a user records, their application continually uploads chunks of media to a remote server. MSE is the standard cross-browser API for interacting with this container, giving developers control over how this content is fetched. MSE replaces Flash for streaming.
