WSDL

Web Services Description Language (WSDL) is an XML-based format for describing a Web Services interface to a client application. It is also the name of the description file that provides a machine-readable description of how the service can be called, what parameters it expects, and what data structures it returns. With the WSDL, the client can understand how to connect to the web service and what functionality is provides.
