This is the official client library that wraps the Algolia Search API for integration with a Node.js application. Algolia can be implemented into web applications to reference a database to display a drop down of real time search results. The API supports quick faceted, full-text, and numerical search results
BooRah, the restaurant search service, has announced the release of the BooRah API. The API augments the existing BooRah syndication platform, which is currently used by newspapers and other web sites that have a local focus. Their API is a standards-based web services platform, that also provides enhanced mobile platform capabilities. On mobile platforms, the API automatically integrates with Mozilla Geode and Skyhook Loki when they are present.
PubSubHubbub. Say that three times fast. If you're not familiar with PubSubHubbub, it's an extension of the RSS and Atom protocol that allows the feed to push content out when it's updated. That's just the sort of technology we should see from check-in APIs like Foursquare and Gowalla.
On April 12th, Microsoft announced that:
"the Bing Search API will transition to...the Windows Azure Marketplace," they later added that the service will "move to a monthly subscription model."
