BitlyDotNET is a .NET wrapper written in C# for interacting with Bit.ly, the URL shortener service. Though not directly supported by Bit.ly, Bit.ly endorses this code library on their developer site. The Bit.ly API allows developers to implement programmatic shortening, sharing, and tracking of links (URLs). Unique user-level and aggregate links can also be created to let users view complete, real-time traffic and referrer data, as well as location and metadata.
In what many are calling a boon to real-time search, Topsy today announced a new round of funding that doubles the money it's raised. The company uses indexes Twitter and makes the results available on its website, as well as through its Topsy API, which sees more than half a billion queries per month.
Mapbox has announced a Unity SDK that provides a mapping platform, similar to the AR mapping of Pokemon Go, to developers across the gaming industry. With the major success of Pokemon Go, maps could be the foundation for a new generation of AR and VR games and Mapbox aims to capitalize.
