As FoodEssentials gets ready for another SXSW, ProgrammableWeb caught up with FoodEssentials’ Tyler Olsen to learn more about LabelAPI’s success, growth and future.
The initial releases from credit card provider MasterCard look to be more than a toe-dip into APIs. With its MasterCard Payments API and two others, the company could be diving straight into the deep end. Though the services are still in beta, MasterCard appears to be taking very seriously its creation of a developer ecosystem.
The existence of APIs has made it possible for organizations to collect and aggregate unprecedented amounts of customer data. What’s not so clear is how to actually go about harnessing it. That issue is giving rise to a host of customer intelligence applications that leverage APIs to ingest data and then, in turn, make analysis of that data available via an external API.
