Here is an interview with Jeh Daruwala, CEO of Yactraq.com . Their work brings machine learning and natural language processing to the potentially blockbuster world of online videos for targeting of ads based on behaviour. Thus the ads are less spammy, much more relevant, and a win-win for audiences, advertisers and content channels.
SEOmoz, a leader in SEO software, has offered link intelligence APIs for a few years (Mozscape being the latest). Although Mozscape has garnered high adoption rates (over 10 million requests/day), customer feedback uncovered shortcomings. SEOmoz now knows that 10 requests/second and a max of 50 URLs/batch "is not able to support everyone's use case." Accordingly, SEOmoz enhanced Mozscape API capabilities and is currently in beta. Although the beta is in its early stages, throughput has increased 400%.
Adcolony, once an app developer for iOS, is now focused on creating mobile HD video ads. The Adcolony APIs are two RESTful APIs, Publisher Earnings (which retrieves in CSV format) and MATA, which gives access to the CPI campaign statistics. Fields covered in the Earnings API are Date Range, Earnings, Completed Video Views, Fill Rate, Sessions, eCPM, DAU. The MATA API is based on the open standards from the Mobile App Transparency Alliance (thus the name), and uses HTTP authentication. It uses your user email and API key for verification.
