GoogleBooks is a Ruby wrapper that queries the Google API to search for publications in the Google Books repository. It is authored by Zean Tsoi and provides additional methods and search options. Queries return results, each with their own set of attributes that can be individually configured.
Google has announced that availability of its Manufacturer Center service has been expanded to more countries and the company has launched the Google Manufacturer Center API. The API allows Manufacturer Center users to programmatically add, update, delete, and distribute product data.
The University of Michigan Medical School created the Vaccine Investigation and Online Information Network (VIOLIN) because the vaccine research field lacked a web-based central repository where researchers could easily retrieve the vast amount of data underlying hundreds of years of research. Not only has VIOLIN provided the online database, the database is easily accessible via the VIOLIN API.
