A coder using the name “offensive-computing” used 23andMe’s API to access the company’s genetic records to build a tool that blocks users from websites based on genetic makeup.
The CIPF (Centro de Investigation Prince Felipe) in Valencia, Spain, is providing a REgulatory Analysis Tool (RENATO) in the form of a RESTful API to give researchers access to its genomics database.
The BioGRID API is a RESTful API using XML and HTML to access over 35,000 articles that document over 550,000 raw protein and genetic interactions. The API webpage gives 9 examples of interactions returned as results, including for the human MDM2 gene and between S. cerevisiae CDC27, APC1 and APC2.
