The Google Play Game Services Java Library allows developers to easily integrate the Google Play Game Services API into their Java applications. Developers can add the library to their Maven or Gradle projects using the code provided, or they can download the necessary jars as a zip file.
Google has released a new version of the Android SDK, which contains the final set of APIs for Android N. Developers can now add N behaviors to their apps. Along with the APIs and SDK, Google also pushed out a fourth Android N Developer Preview. The beta operating system is ready for download.
Apple took a big leap of faith today and open sourced Swift, its new programming language. Apple believes developers can help make Swift a better resource as well as expand its compatibility to more platforms. Swift is available for free from GitHub with an Apache 2.0 license.
