Whether we like it or not, social media is a powerful marketing tool, and what people are saying about a brand or business can have a noticeable effect; good or bad. What would be really beneficial, is if businesses could be notified immediately whenever their product or brand was mentioned on a social media platform or elsewhere on the web, allowing them to act accordingly. Enter Mention. It's created to do exactly that - allow users to follow mentions online. Mention also provides the Mention API that allows developers to integrate this functionality with other applications.
Ad Server Solutions offer exactly what their name implies: ad serving solutions for advertisers, publishers, agencies and networks. It's a one-stop-shop for advertising, serving and management solutions, allowing users to manage, serve, analyze and report on online ads while generating funds from their content and ultimately increasing revenue. The Ad Server Solutions API opens up this functionality to third party developers.
Recently, in our post on the Unofficial Chicago Transit Authority API we reported on this unofficial transit API for the CTA. The API enables developers to build applications that present CTA bus routes, schedules, and arrival predictions. This API is "unofficial" because it is not officially documented by the Chicago Transit Authority, but comes to us by virtue of developer Harper Reed.
