Single purpose API
Sorry, No followers
Voice-over-IP (VoIP) makes it possible to embed telephony services within an application. But the quality of many of those VoIP calls can be highly inconsistent. To address that issue, Twilio today announced a public beta of its Global Low Latency (GLL) capability.
Now you can use an API to find out once and for all whether you are among the living. The U.S. Social Security Administration maintains a "death index" to prevent fraud. CDYNE Corporation subscribes to the updates and has opened the index up with a fee-based API (details at our Death Index API profile).
All the major computing architectures in use today trace their lineage back to the pioneering work of mathematician John von Neumann. Developed from the 1930s through the 1950s, the theories put forth by von Neumann provided the foundation on which the ENIAC, the first general-purpose computer, were based. Subsequently, every system developed since then has relied on the same basic principles to deliver faster levels of computational performance.
