Microsoft has released a suite of tools to integrate its popular Messenger client into your website. Called Messenger Connect, the new API embeds a Windows Live Messenger chat window on your site, which enables visitors to share links, collaborate, or just stay connected to friends.
Popular social check-in service Foursquare is going through some changes, and the most important of those is that the old v1 API is going dead, as we've known since March. Older apps, especially abandoned ones, will stop working then, as will any newer app that hasn't yet upgraded to the new API.
The Twitter API has taken a winding road since its initial launch in 2006. Since 2012, Twitter has continued to clamp down on API consumption and usage, often to the dismay of the developer community. However, Twitter continues to understand the value of API features to its growth and the developer community.
