For staying up to date with band tour dates, live venue information and more, Pollstar has it covered. It's a trade publication that covers music industry information on a worldwide scale. What's pretty cool is that Pollstar provides an API that allows third party developers access to the full event database, enabling them to include Pollstar data on other websites and applications.
There are a number of advertising networks available for mobile applications, but game company Tap Me is creating one specifically for game developers. Tap Me has launched its iPhone SDK today, with plans to support other platforms soon, including a generic API that will allow developers full control of how advertisements are included in their games. Rather than simply provide display advertising, Tap Me ties the ads into in-game actions, with brands able to be integrated deeper into games.
Google has given Android developers a Play Store API to perform a number of publishing and application management tasks.
