This package offers Java bindings for the Shopify API to allow Shopify users to access the admin functionality of their accounts within 3rd party Android applications. This library was not officially created by Shopify, and though it works it is currently not being actively maintained. Developers may use the package to integrate admin functionality across articles, assets, customers, events, and more. The Shopify API uses a RESTful interface and responses are formatted in XML and JSON.
Facebook is starting to approve additional "actions," verbs that let users go beyond Like. Developers can use Facebook timeline actions via the Facebook Graph API, but only if approved by the social network. Social shopping platform AddShoppers received approval for "want" and "own" and even has some Like-like buttons for those actions.
Seventeen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Banking, eCommerce and Jobs. Highlights include the Tradenity API for creating eCommerce applications, Taskware API for task management, and an API that retrieves lottery numbers. Here's a look at what is new.
