Hot on the heels of its Campaign Finance API, the New York Times has officially announced the Movie Reviews API, which gives third-party developers access to "over 22,000 New York Times movie reviews going all the way back to 1924" (and we've updated our Movie Review API profile with the updated details).
The humongous amount of data that Twitter generates daily, is spawning a new breed of company that is analyzing the data and providing value-added services on it. While the data mining and intelligence applications are still in their infancy, there are interesting applications that you can use today.
Social movie review web site FilmCrave recently released a new API (our FilmCrave API Profile) that provides developers with access to various types of content, including member movie reviews, movie plots, and movie ratings. Originally developed as an API for use by one of its business partners, FilmCrave decided to make the API publicly available in order to encourage third parties to integrate FilmCrave's content with other web sites.
