Most of Openmind's feature set becomes available through the API. The API arms developers with a telco-grade communications platform upon which new innovative apps can be built.
Most mashups try to solve a complex problem in an innovative way, and therefore save us all time. However, sometimes a mashup solves a very simple problem in an interesting way. Either way, I love to see innovative new uses of APIs like this one from Brian Beermann, which controls his garage door using the Twilio SMS API, some hardware and a lot of creativity.
Burner has launched the new Burner REST API with OAuth 2.0 support which provides access to Burner platform functionality such as sending and receiving messages, and text auto-responses. Developers can use the Burner REST API to integrate Burner platform capabilities with third-party applications.
