Filmaster, a project started by two Polish movie addicts in 2008 has made moves that could catapult them into the big marquee. Filmaster takes it one step further than movie databases like IMDB and movie recommendation engines like Mombo by combining movies and recommendation with a complete community-based social experience. And to support all this, it has a website, mobile applications and a Filmaster API to fuel further adoption.

LinkedIn launched its API (our LinkedIn API profile), which allows developers to access a user's connections and anyone's profile data, in addition to several other features. Though some are saying "finally," it's clearly not too late for LinkedIn, who aims to be the professional networking platform.
A brand new iOS messaging/social app called Peach has rocketed in popularity since launching last Friday. A developer has reverse engineered the Peach API and created clients for Swift and Mac. The clients have been posted on GitHub for developers interested in using the undocumented Peach API.
