The USA Today YQL library by USA Today uses Yahoo Query Language to access the Articles API. With this resource, developers can access data from top news, search query, reporter, sections, and time range. Of the many APIs we published this week, seven were highlighted on the blog by our team of writers. In this post, we’ll shine a spotlight on those seven, which included the FaxLogic API. FaxLogic is a cloud-based fax-service that combines normal fax machine functionality with features of analog fax, Internet fax and fax servers. FaxLogic securely sends, stores, manages, and receives fax through email eliminating the need for phone lines, while also enabling scanning options that previously didn't exist. Earlier this year, ProgrammableWeb reported that Nike had launched the brand new Nike+ API developer portal and the first Nike+ Accelerator program which aims to connect the Nike+ platform with companies that use innovative technologies to help people live more active lives. Building upon the success of the Accelerator program, Nike has announced the launch of the 2014 Nike+ Fuel Lab in San Francisco, a 12-week program designed to expand the Nike+ ecosystem by connecting Nike+ and NikeFuel with companies that offer an existing technology product or service.
The free evening newspaper The London Paper made headlines itself last week, for two seemingly contradictory reasons. First, New Media Age reported the paper is launching an API. Then, further reports said it will cease publishing in less than a month.
