The Yahoo Search Python library by Yahoo access the Yahoo! Search APIs using pYsearch, an open-source Python library created by Leif Hedstrom. With Twitter reducing its search history to four days, it is a challenge for applications that are dependent on search results, that went not days but even months back. Several applications have taken on the challenge to fill this void and are building search indexes on top of Twitter. Topsy is one of them and it's sharing its results as an API.
The big API day is finally here for the New York Times. After launching a series of interesting and useful APIs since last fall, covering everything from campaign finance to movie reviews, they've now released their most important API to date: their Article Search API. With this new web service, developers now have access to 2.8 million articles from the paper of record dating from 1981 through today (our Article Search profile). This API should be a terrific source for a wide range of mashups and third party applications.
Mux is currently taking applications for early access to its latest product: Mux Video. Mux Video is an API that allows developers to POST a video to Mux Video and GET a URL ready to publish across platforms and form factors. General Availability is intended early 2018.
