Mashups using the same API (10)
WeatherCheck uses the OpenWeatherMap API to provide the current weather and 10-day forecast for a given city.
Rich mashup with live weather, forecasts, webcams, and more on a Google Map.
Zoomable mashup of Google Maps, Virtual Earth and other satellite imagery through a Flash application. Try rotating the compass or building a permanent link to a location.
The Scout API, by T3, enables 3rd parties to take advantage of the context the company brings to advertising. Added to location sensitivity, which has been employed by the likes of Walgreens and others geofencing their stores, Scout brings weather, time, speed and orientation. Scout joins a list of 274 advertising APIs in our directory. Public documentation is unavailable; interested developers can contact email@example.com.
Though Google Maps may still be the choice of most developers, Bing continues to be a contender. Microsoft evangelist Chris Pendleton points out a new Weather.com feature and mentions it has used the service since back when it was called Virtual Earth (the switch only happened this June).
