Something new sprang up in the Flickr App Garden last month: "This is my Cam!" by Chris Martin (the San Francisco-based hacker, not that guy from Coldplay). Inspired by music sharing site This Is My Jam and built during Photo Hack Day 3, "This is my Cam!" uses the Flickr API to catalog the different cameras that were used to capture a particular user's photos.
You may remember the full featured, unpublished API from popular mobile photo sharing site Instagram that we covered last month. The interface was reverse engineered by a developer and today Instagram asked anyone using its private, unofficial Instagram API to stop. At the same time, it announced a beta public API would be coming soon.
Aviary, the photo editing suite that includes a number of Aviary APIs to incorporate photo editing into your web applications is moving its tools to mobile. Today it announced SDKs for iPhone and Android, as well as an impressively long list of launch partners who have already incorporated the platform in their mobile apps.
