MyDoorHandle allows users to create short, memorable weblinks that point to physical locations: DoorHandles. Instead of sharing physical addresses (which easily become outdated or incomplete), DoorHandles create a digital address which are easy to create and continually ensure accuracy. MyDoorHandle has now expanded its offering to include API access to DoorHandle creation. The API will allow third party developers to incorporate MyDoorHandle's many location based services.

The Facebook API saw huge changes in 2010 that moved the service away from being a closed network and towards being a more open community. The leading social network site must be doing something right on that front. Facebook was the third most popular service for use in new mashups last year, nearly doubling its total number in our directory.
It has been a long spell of “Operation Product Cleanup” at Google. Some of the high profile announcements like shutting down of the Google Translate API and the outrage have seen it being reframed as a paid version. Others, like Google Maps Flash, were not so lucky in the most recent round of API euthanasia.
