- AskJot is a tool for analyzing web pages for keywords. Use its page analysis to find keyword links to custom search results pages that search multiple services at once for that keyword.
- Pearl Jam fansite with links and pictures pulled from various web services.
- Innovative prototype for exploring Flickr photos. Point the application at a feed, like CNN, it then renders the news in photos by matching tagged photos to words from the news.

Gowalla said a writeable API was coming soon. Today, the check-in API is available to developers. Though it took longer than anyone expected, the announcement and the API have some nice aspects to help developers use the new features.
The big API day is finally here for the New York Times. After launching a series of interesting and useful APIs since last fall, covering everything from campaign finance to movie reviews, they've now released their most important API to date: their Article Search API. With this new web service, developers now have access to 2.8 million articles from the paper of record dating from 1981 through today (our Article Search profile). This API should be a terrific source for a wide range of mashups and third party applications.
You may remember the full featured, unpublished API from popular mobile photo sharing site Instagram that we covered last month. The interface was reverse engineered by a developer and today Instagram asked anyone using its private, unofficial Instagram API to stop. At the same time, it announced a beta public API would be coming soon.
