Need to buy a real ladder rather than climb a career ladder in Manhattan, but don't know where to shop? Or maybe you need the latest electronic gadget. Or maybe one of a few other billion possibilities? Goodzer can show you just where to buy --in Manhattan and anywhere else in the US, for that matter--and buy almost anything else while you are at it. With over 2.5 billion products listed in over half a million stores throughout the US, finding what you need in the bricks and mortar world could approach the convenience of online shopping--without the shipping delay.
You may not have realized the benefits of being able to use tweets to find out where your Amazon delivery is, but TrackThis wants to change that. It's an app that combines more than six different APIs in order to let you track your packages over email, text message, Facebook or Twitter. It monitors your packages and when they move it sends you a message with the new location and ETA. TrackThis supports FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and other tracking codes.
There isn't just one social graph, there are many. LinkedIn maintains your professional contacts, while Facebook has friends and family (and yes, often many professional). Twitter has some mix, as well, perhaps with a different filter. Aggregators take these disparate contacts and bring them into one place. A new service uses several APIs to merge them and give tools to better understand and utilize your network of contacts.
