Google announced multiple changes to its Ads and Search APIs. In the Ads API, changes were made to prevent the same payment account applying across manager account hierarchies. In the Search APIs, certain Android appearances that are no longer available in the Console UI are no longer supported.
The myriad of online photo album services that are available today have been threatening to make the humble printed photo album redundant for some time now (for example, we now have over 50 photo APIs in our directory). Despite this services like SnapFish, which offer the ability to easily print customized photo books, have remained incredibly popular. Started 10 years ago and still running strong with its new owner HP, SnapFish reportedly has over 85 million users worldwide. Now developers can get in on the action with the newly announced Snapfish Publisher initiative.
Now that the Instagram API is available with last month's public beta launch, we've started to see some fun apps built on top of it. Since Instagram's only official product is an iPhone application, that means we're seeing web clients, badge widgets and even Hot-or-Not style games. The best part is that some even cross over to multiple mobile photo APIs, increasing their reach and usefulness.
