Access Softek, a provider of digital banking technology and services, has recently released a new biometric Authentication API that allows banks and credit unions to authenticate callers via mobile phone across myriad channels. This API announcement comes in tandem with new research supporting the demand for improved banking security.
Access Softek announced the results of a survey they conducted with participants including 500 financial service consumers. The findings show that a significant majority (63%) of respondents agree that “having a modern, easy-to-use, mobile biometric feature for verification would improve their service and support experience.” The survey also showed strong support for a unified approach to authentication across banking channels.
Access Softek is hoping to leverage this demand with the addition of its new API. The company has designed the API with ease of implementation in mind and it notes that:
“By using the API, Access Softek gives financial institutions the opportunity to create a quick, easy and secure verification experience in any step of the user’s journey, while providing substantial cost-efficiencies for the financial institution.”
This new API leverages the company’s existing Biometric Authentication Manager Platform. Developers can learn more about the company’s authentication platform by visiting its information center.
