Carroll Publishing Releases GovSearch API

Carroll Publishing, a government contact data-delivery service, recently published the GovSearch API, exposing the company’s directory of over 260K government contacts. The database includes contacts from over 40,000 government agencies.

For the past 45 years Carroll Publishing has been maintaining a database of contact information for Federal, State, Municipal and County government employees. Information available on employees includes all the basics (name, phone number, mailing address), plus additional data you might not expect, like latitude/longitude. With the addition of the New GovSearch API developers can now retrieve all of this information programmatically, with the API responding in JSON.

The company told govtech.com that the API will have two licencing options. The first option is designed for internal use and depending on how much data is needed ranges from $5,000 to $38,000 per year. The second option for resellers ranges from $10,000 to $82,000.
