CoinMarketCap Announces DATA Alliance; Requires Crypto Data Via API

CoinMarketCap has announced the creation of the Data Accountability & Transparency Alliance (DATA), which aims to promote transparency and accountability within the crypto space. The company hopes that the alliance will result in greater empowerment for users looking to make informed cryptocurrency decisions.

In the first phase of the Alliances development they have decided to require that partners provide certain crypto data via API. Specifically partners will soon be required to provide live trading data and live order book data programmatically. Partners are required to comply by June 14, 2019. The alliance will have additional standard rolling out over time as they are finalized.

Exchanges that have already joined the alliance include: Binance, Bittrex, OKEx, Huobi, Liquid, UpBit, IDEX, OceanEX,, KuCoin, HitBTC and Bitfinex.
