Compliance.ai, a company that provides compliance software for the financial industry, has announced the launch of its new developer platform and Compliance.ai API. The new developer platform provides documentation, code samples, interactive documentation (I/O Docs) and other tools developers can use to build applications integrated with financial regulation data. The API provides programmatic access to aggregated, normalized information from a variety of financial regulation data sources. Sources of information include (but not limited to) federal and state agencies, regulatory publications, executive orders, and notices. The API also features topic-based search and filters that can be used to obtain regulatory trend analyses and notifications in real time.
The developer portal will also provide an iFrame copy and paste code that will allow developers to quickly add a search bar, search function, and document selection to applications. The iFrame is still in development and is coming soon. According to the developer portal documentation, Both the iFrame and API return financial regulation data that is "normalized, ranked, classified and rated into topic specific categories." Compliance.ai collects documents from numerous federal and state agencies such as Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
"We are excited to offer an API that provides real time regulatory data and insights for financial and legal applications," said Kayvan Alikhani, co-founder and CEO of Compliance.ai, in a prepared statement. "With the Pro edition, we significantly reduced the amount of time compliance professionals spend chasing regulatory changes; and now with the developer platform, we're opening up our AI curated regulatory financial content, and making it accessible from within any application."
