Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ve added 6 APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory today in Translation, Customer Relationship Management, Events, and Advertising categories, among others. Also new are source code samples for the Google Custom Search API and Yelp APIs.
SpeechTrans offers translation software, auto speech recognition, and text-to-speech services. Developers can access the SpeechTrans REST API for features in machine translation interface in 44 languages, and to obtain human translation of text, optical, and speech character recognition as well as text-to-speech capabilities.
Base by FutureSimple provides small- and medium-sized businesses with sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services. This API is listed under the Customer Relationship Management category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Customer Relationship Management APIs.
The Attendify Event API allows developers to build custom apps for an event or conference. Use Attendify to add event schedules, speaker bios, maps, news, and more to create customized event apps.
The Amazon Mobile Ads API aims to monetize mobile apps and games in Android, iOS, and Fire devices. Use the API to increase earnings with the Amazon Mobile Ad Network. Differentiators include improved eCPM (effective cost per mille or 1,000 clicks), cross platform solution, high quality ads, and more. We’ve categorized the Amazon Mobile Ads API under the Advertising category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Advertising APIs.
Delivery.com offers laundry, food, alcohol, and grocery delivery in over 38 cities of the United States and abroad. The Delivery.com API overviews how to make requests and how to receive HTTP response codes. Users can sign up for an API key to implement laundry delivery services into mobile apps. This API is listed in the Ordering category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Ordering APIs.
WHMCS is a hosting and domain management, recurring billing and integrated support company. The WHMCS API provides developers with an interface to access and perform actions in WHMCS both from external applications and scripts as well as internal modules and add-ons. We’ve primarily categorized the WHMCS API under the Hosting category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Hosting APIs.
Google provides the Google Custom Search API to help developers “exploit the full power of ideas to dynamically generate Custom Search Engines.” We have added the following code samples for use with this API:
Google Custom Search Python Code Sample: In the initial stages of development, users may check out this custom search sample code that is also useful for analytics, blogger, calendar, and maps engine APIs. Authored on GitHub by developer Michael Mattioli.
Google Custom Search Objective-C Code Sample by Google helps developers to oversee their coding strategies. It works with iOS mobile and Mac OS X desktop applications. This code sample is available for custom search, blogger, books, calendar, google drive, google plus, tasks, URL shortener, and YouTube APIs.
Google Custom Search .NET Code Sample by Google offers instructions on how to download the library, browse the .NET documentation, and interact with the API. To download the library, developers need to install a NuGet package available on Google.Apis.customsearch.
Customer-sourced online reviews website Yelp provides APIs to developers who want to integrate neighborhood information, review tracking, business ratings, and more to their applications. We’ve added some code samples to the directory for the API as follows:
