Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb's directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there's a listing in one of our directories that you'd like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ten APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories such as Cryptocurrency, Monitoring, and Mapping. Highlights include APIs for programmatic access to the City of Seattle datasets, and the Apple MapKit JS API and SDK. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
BitcoinAverage is a data service that provides the weighted average Bitcoin price for all major currencies. The BitcoinAverage Enterprise Websocket API provides fast updates regarding ticker and exchange prices. Get data pushed from one or more indices or exchanges and ticker data for multiple symbols with the API. The BitcoinAverage Enterprise Websocket API is listed under the Cryptocurrency category. This is an indirect API that can only be accessed via SDKs, including the Bugfender Cordova SDK, Bugfender, iOS SDK, Bugfender Xamarin SDK, Bugfender SLF4J Java SDK and Bugfender macOS SDK. The API is listed under the Monitoring category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Monitoring APIs.
NumSpy is a public API for discovering details of any mobile number in India. The Numspy API will provide JSON output of name, provider, and state associated with a mobile number. The API is listed under the Mobile category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Mobile APIs.
The City of Seattle Open Data Portal provides some APIs for developers wishing to access Seattle datasets. We've recently added a few of them to our Open Data category. Data.Seattle.Gov Electrical Permits API returns current data about electrical permits in the City of Seattle. Get data returned such as permit number, type, work description, and address with the API. Data.Seattle.Gov Building Permits Current API returns data regarding current building permits including permit application dates, work type, address, longitude & latitude of project, status, contractor and more. and Data.Seattle.Gov Fremont Bridge Hourly Bicycle Counts API returns data of the number of bikes that cross the bridge using the pedestrian/bicycle pathways.
