Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
APIs new to the directory today include a predictive analytics service, a crowd-based payment platform, a plagiarism checker, and more.
PredicSis provides machine learning technology to businesses who want to predict customer behavior. Use the PredicSis Machine Learning API to leverage customer data for predictive marketing. Use PredicSis to upload a dataset, create a dictionary of variables, and design your predictive model.

Copyleaks’ Plagiarism Checker API allows developers to integrate plagiarism-checking capabilities into their own services. With the Copyleaks API, users can scan the web to make sure that their content isn't being used by any other sites. This services works with text written in any language. Users will need to sign up with Copyleaks in order to use the API. We’ve primarily categorized the Copyleaks Plagiarism Checker API under the Copyright category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Copyright APIs.
VineOS connects with third-party APIs such as Google Analytics, PayPal, UPS, and more to provide eCommerce solutions. The VineOS Commercial Invoice API generates printable commercial invoices for your international shipments. Use the Commercial Invoice API to email a copy of each commercial invoice to the shipper/sender, automatically retrieve HS Codes, calculate total weight, as well as the total invoice amount. We’ve primarily categorized the VineOS Commercial Invoice API under the eCommerce category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of eCommerce APIs.
Open Addresses UK provides a Search API that searches for UK addresses in an open data set. The API uses JSON over HTTP and supports partial searches as well as multiple query strings (e.g., by postcode, by town). Responses return all data matching the search terms and include a persistent URL for each address. In addition, the addresses use a format similar to the BS7666 standard and include latitude and longitude coordinates for the geographic center of each address’s postcode. We’ve primarily categorized the Open Addresses UK Search API under the Addresses category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Addresses APIs.
Mobbr is a crowd-based payment platform. The Mobbr API accepts POST and PUT requests and returns responses in JSON or XML. Use the Mobbr API to make peer-to-peer payments, find individuals for a task, seek out tasks for a user, or manage a crowd-funding campaign. Mobbr can pay to usernames, emails, Twitter accounts, bitcoin addresses, and more.
Plivo is an API provider and global carrier service company that provides businesses a way to communicate with their customers via SMS and voice calls. Since yesterday, several more APIs have been added to ProgrammableWeb for services from Plivo. They include the following:
Plivo Call API allows developers to initiate outbound calls. It also enables functions such as viewing live calls, retrieving calls logs, and transferring ongoing calls to a different flow.
Plivo Call Request API allows developers to perform actions on a call request, before the call is answered.
Plivo Pricing API lets developers retrieve rates for a country’s inbound and outbound calls.
Plivo Call Play API lets developers play an MP3 or a wav file on a call. It’s usually used to play a notification on a live call.
Plivo Recording API allows developers to list all recordings or, alternatively, a specific recording, and to delete a specific recording.
Plivo Message API lets developers send a message, and get details of all messages or of a single message.
Plivo Endpoint API lets developers receive and make calls from a SIP phonem webSDK, and Plivo’s mobile SDKs. Some actions that can be performed with this API include creating an endpoint, getting details of all endpoints, getting details of a single endpoint, and more.
Plivo Conference Record API lets developers start and stop the recording of a conference.
PredicSis Ruby SDK is an official Ruby SDK for the Machine Learning API by PredicSis. Use this SDK to access the predictive modeling and dataset management tools provided by PredicSis. The SDK requires your API Token to get started. See the SDK documentation for a sample workflow and instructions on installing the gem.
