Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at email@example.com.
Fourteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Security, Telephony, Content and Authentication. Featured today are several APIs for threat intelligence provided in the CrowdStrike Falcon Platform. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
Brafton is a content marketing service. The Brafton API allows developers to integrate content into applications. Writing, video, graphics, SEO, social, and analytics are available as implementation services. The Brafton API is listed under the Content category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Content APIs.
Foneverify is a phone number verification service. The Foneverify API allows users to integrate phone number verification and security services into mobile applications. Parameters include CustomerID, VerificationID, TimeOut, and code. This API is listed under the Telephony category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Telephony APIs.

The Whatsapp Chat API Daemon API allows users to send and receive Whatsapp messages in their own programs using websockets or HTTP. It does this by using the PHP-based Chat-API library to access Whatsapp. This API was created so that developers could use Chat-API to interact with Whatsapp, even if their projects weren't written in PHP. The API is listed under the Chat category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Chat APIs.
Rigor provides Web and application performance management solutions. The Rigor Optimization API serves as a gateway to a suite of analytical tools for measuring and tracking Web performance metrics. The API is a proprietary platform and its access requires preapproved license from the provider. This API is listed under the Web Site Management category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Web Site Management APIs.
mNectar is an application streaming firm which focuses on mobile application distribution and advertising. The mNectar platform allows users to sample games and applications without downloading via streaming technology. Their Publisher Data Reporting API is used to request performance data for publishers in hourly or daily summary form. And the Affiliate Data Reporting API is used to request performance information for advertisers in daily summary form. Both APIs are listed under the Advertising category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Advertising APIs.
Student Money Saver is a vendor of proprietary solutions for building student databases for targeted marketing. Their StudentConnect API allows websites to validate the personal profiles of students that sign up for products that are restricted to, or targeted at, students enrolled in academic institutions. The API allows for filtering and retrieving the personal details of students from the databases of their respective colleges. Contact the API provider for its technical documentation. These APIs is listed under the Authentication category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Authentication APIs.
humm is a music and video streaming platform with focus on personalization. This service has access to millions of tracks, is advertisement-free, and dedicated to the LATAM market. The humm API includes access to resources such as songs, videos, playlists, artists and albums. This REST API uses JSON for data exchange, and OAuth 2 for authentication. The humm API is listed under the Music category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Music APIs.
The Chrome Credential Management API is a browser-based API designed to help end users authenticate themselves on the developer's website. Developer's can get credentials, store credentials, and mediate user sign-in with the API. This enables websites to let users sign in with one click, remember the account a user signed in with, and sign users back in when a session expires. This API is listed under the Browsers category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Browsers APIs.
CrowdStrike is a network security firm. The company recently launched the CrowdStrike Falcon Platform, which includes serveral APIs for threat intelligence:
CrowdStrike Threat Graph API provides security insight about the endpoints of a third party application, and features threat type identification, crowdsourced protection, and real-time security records.
CrowdStrike Falcon Respond API provides support for before and after a system has been compromised, detection management, and remediation execution.
CrowdStrike Falcon Management API provides updating, editing, and deleting capabilities for IOCs (Indicator of Compromise) within CrowdStrike's real time detection platform.
CrowdStrike Falcon Intelligence API provides real time information about new adversary groups, indicators, and news.
CrowdStrike Falcon Streaming API provides a constant source of information for real time threat detection and prevention.
