Daily API RoundUp: Euclid Analytics, giflayer, Mendix

Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or Source Code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at editor@programmableweb.com.

Eleven APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories such as Conversions, Analytics, and Application Development. Here, we summarize the new additions and how they can assist developers.

The giflayer API provides a way to perform Video to GIF Conversion at 30 Frames Per Second. It supports video portals such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Vine, plus direct video links and video file formats. Integrate the API to generate GIFs with editing options such as cropping, resizing, creating trailers, duration parameters, and more.

We've categorized the giflayer API under the Conversions category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Conversions APIs.

Euclid Analytics offers Metrics to count user visits, predict opportunities, and calculate transactions. The Euclid API allows developers to integrate analytics features into location applications. Users can get metrics data such as customer count, customer ratio, engagement rate, and much more. We've categorized the Euclid API under the Analytics category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Analytics APIs.

IBM Watson Visual Insights API allows developers to upload a set of images for visual insight extraction. The API returns labels in the form of tags such as food, pets, outdoors, animal, mountain scene, etc. The insights can be used for targeting ad campaigns and other customer intelligence.

Sellergize Web Technology Services is based in Mumbai and focuses on developing coupon apps. Their LinkMyDeals API offers a coupon and deal feeds Platform that can be integrated with existing apps. Feeds from 1000+ Indian stores in different file formats are available. We've listed this API under the Coupons category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Coupons APIs.

Mendix is an application development platform. They offer several APIs for customizing the application building process. We've listed them here:

Mendix Team Server API allows developers to retrieve the information (branches, revisions) of application models stored in the Mendix's public cloud. With this API, developers will have access to an application model via the context of an application.

Mendix Deploy API allows developers to manage their application environments in the Mendix public cloud, plus deploy and transport new model versions to application environments.

Mendix User Management API allows Integration so clients may create and manage user accounts in their companies.

Mendix Feedback API allows developers to retrieve, add and manage feedback for their projects.

Mendix Single Sign-On API allows integration with the Mendix Single Sign-On Server, which is based on the OpenID 2.0 protocol.

The Mendix APIs are listed under the Application Development category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Application Development APIs.

As mentioned previously, India's Ola Cab has APIs for integration into transportation applications. Two more APIs have now been added to the directory. The Ola Ride Booking API allows developers to enable their users to book a ride from Ola and the Ola Ride Cancellation API allows users to cancel their rides. These API are categorized under Transportation category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Transportation APIs.
