Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We've added six APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories such as Inventory, Gambling, and Banking, among others. Also new to the directory: SDKs for Flowdock project team collaboration platform. Here's a summary of what is new.
Betfair is based in the UK, and provides an international online sports betting system. The Betfair Exchange API offers an automated platform for gambling oriented applications. It features odds retrieval and advanced market navigation and supports custom betting interfaces. We've listed the Betfair API under the Gambling category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Gambling APIs.
Zoho provides users with productivity, collaboration and business software. Zoho Inventory assists businesses with inventory control and other order management features. The Zoho Inventory API is a REST API that allows all the operations that are available with the web client. This API is categorized under the Inventory category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Inventory APIs.
Figo.io enables access to every financial services provider through one API. With Figo API, developers can integrate bank account access, transaction history, payment submissions, get responses to retrieve or modify bank accounts and remove a PIN number. We've categorized the ccc API under the Banking category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Banking APIs.
Ontotext is a provider of semantic software. The News Classifier API aims to assign each input document a category and subcategories based on the 17 top-level categories of IPTC Subject Reference System. Subjects include Education, Environment, Health, Crime, Science, and others. Ontotext News Classifier API is listed under the Classification category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Classification APIs.
Use The Cinemalytics Bollywood Movie Database API allows developers to access the Cinemalytics database to get information i.e. Movies, Actors, Directors, Crew, Shooting Location and much more. This API is RESTful, and developers can access it by registering on the developer page. We've categorized this API under the Movies category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Movies APIs.
The Haralyzer API allows developers to store raw HAR data and extract performance data for pages inside the HAR data. HAR (HTTP Archive) is a common format for recording HTTP tracing information, like how long it takes to fetch DNS information and how long each object takes to be requested. This API is in Beta. We've listed this API under the Data category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Data APIs.
Flowdock is a project collaboration service. It features a team inbox with real-time group chat and activity feeds. Chat history is stored forever and users can organize their chats with tags for later reference. Flowdock provides an API that lets developers create custom integrations for Flowdock and interact with flows, such as posting messages to Influx.
Implement Flowdock team chat with shared inbox via their API / image: Flowdock
We've also added some SDKs from independent developers that are useful for implementing the API:
Flowdock Python SDK by Joshua Ginsberg allows API interaction to implement chat, email, and messaging features into collaboration application. On GitHub, developers can find Django integration and command-line utility.
Flowdock PHP SDK by Rémi Marseille features chat, email, and messaging for groups. Documentation available shows installation, Push API, and contribution.
Flowdock Perl SDK by Cory G. Watson allows to interact with the REST API and Push API. Token is available under settings. Methods show how to obtain a single flow, push team inbox, and push chat.
Flowdock Haskell SDK by Gabriel McArthur allows to implement chat and messaging features into an application with the aim to improve collaboration in the workplace. The SDK interacts with Push API, Streaming API, and REST API.
Flowdock Go SDK by Niclas Jern allows to interact with the API to implement chat and email collaboration features into applications. On GitHub, developers can find code to insert key and send a message to a specific flow.
