Daily API RoundUp: FullContact, @Pay, RingCaptcha and eBay

Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or Source Code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at editor@programmableweb.com.

We’ve added 3 APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory today in the Contacts, Payments, and Search categories as well as client libraries for RingCaptcha Authentication services and eBay.

FullContact is a contact management Platform. The FullContact Company API allows you to find out information about a company by domain or manage and enhance contact information. All successful responses are returned in JSON, XML, HTML, or vCard, depending on the response format you request.

We’ve primarily categorized the FullContact Company API under the Contacts category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Contacts APIs.

@Pay is an email payment and donation platform that reduces the payment process to two clicks. The @Pay API allows developers to create payment methods and transactions with customer email. Register and accept credit cards, or provide a trusted signature for transactions with the API. We’ve primarily categorized the @Pay API under the Payments category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Payments APIs.

Quetzal provides a search engine for scientific journal articles, medical treatment protocols, grants, patents, and more to life science and medical healthcare professionals. The Quetzal API provides users with research tools that are currently used in the biomedical fields. Quetzal’s linguistic and statistical methods deliver contextually relevant results, to save researchers time and minimize the risk of overlooking critical information. We’ve primarily categorized the Quetzal API under the Search category. See ProgrammableWeb’s complete list of Search APIs.

RingCaptcha is a service that brings phone-based verification to any website or mobile application. The service can be used for authentication, marketing, verifying ownership, and more to simplify onboarding and sign-up experience. The RingCaptcha API allows developers to embed RingCaptcha in other applications. The company has a number of client libraries and an SDK that we have added to the directory. They are:

eBay is a large online marketplace and auction website. Three client libraries for use with eBay APIs have been added to the directory.

eBay Java Library can be found on the eBay SDK site. This Library can help developers work with the eBay Trading API. The SDK contains tools for installation, authorization, and program application. eBay uses Eclipse open source software.

eBay PHP Library created by Rick Earley can be used as follows: Find best price and keywords for the eBay finding API; retrieve information about a seller and affiliate parameters for the shopping API; and retrieve listing and bidding auctions for the trading API.

eBay Ruby Library by JJ Buckley interacts with the eBay Trading API, which works with items, listings, and users.
