Daily API RoundUp: Google Search Analytics, Gnip Search, Pandexio, MapFruition

Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or Source Code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at editor@programmableweb.com.

We've added seven APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories such as Video, Collaboration, and Mapping. Here's a summary of the latest additions.

The Google Search Analytics API allows developers to query their search traffic data with filters and parameters that they define. The API is REST based, and it returns data in JSON format. Use the API to bake search performance data into applications. We've categorized the ccc API under the Analytics category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Analytics APIs.

The Full-Archive Search API is provided by Gnip, a social media aggregator service. The Full-Archive Search API allows developers to access the full corpus of Twitter data dating back to March 2006. The API is RESTful, it supports one query per request, and is listed under the Tweets category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Tweets APIs.

Pandexio's Smartsnip helps companies curate and organize content and employee knowledge. The Pandexio Core API offers a content-capture Platform to integrate with existing applications. This lets employees create a knowledge base within organizations. The Pandexio Core API is listed under the Collaboration category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Collaboration, APIs.

Streamable is a service for sharing video easily over desktop or mobile devices. The Streamable API allows developers to implement streaming features into an application. Documentation provides information related to video schema, upload a video, and import a video from a URL, plus interact with users. We've categorized the Streamable API under the Video category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Video APIs.

The Premier League Live Scores API allows developers to retrieve live results for the current week's football (soccer) matches. More features will be added in the near future. The Premier League is a professional English football league. This service is provided by an independent developer. We've categorized this API under the Sports category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Sports APIs.

MapFruition provides GIS and GPS services to government and commercial clients. Their Demographic Inquiry API allows the Integration of population summaries, income, consumer expenditures, and educational level into applications. Their MapFruition Spatial Operations API allows developers to integrate GIS features into web services and web applications. With the API, developers can geocode a point location, analyze travel time from point-to-point, and generate travel time polygons to predict drive time. These APIs have been added to the Mapping category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Mapping APIs.
