Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. Sixteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Content Management, Media, Telephony, and Bots. Today's highlights include some recent APIs for MasterCard application developers. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
Beets is the media library management system for "obsessive-compulsive music geeks". The Beets API provides a way to fetch or calculate all the metadata for album art, lyrics, genres, tempos and more. This includes metadata from MusicBrainz, Discogs, and Beatport. It also allows users to guess metadata using songs filenames or their acoustic fingerprints, transcode audio to any format, check a library for duplicates or missing tracks, clean up tags left behind by other tools, analyze music files metadata from the command line and embed/extract album art from files metadata. SportsEngine provides web-based software and mobile apps for sports team organizations. Developers of apps for amateur, youth, and professional sports domains can use their APIs for integration. The SportsEngine Leagues API offers programmatic access to an association of teams on a site. Methods are available for managing team instances, divisions, seasons, league lists and more. MasterCard Personalized Offers API supports the customization of offers for cardholders based on historical payment card transactions. It allows developers to integrate customer loyalty features for tracking savings, reedeming offers, and rating offers. Cardholders can access and redeem the offers through the online banking platform of the issuing bank.
MasterCard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) is a data interchange platform for generating and managing secure digital payment tokens. This API supports the transmission of MDES-supported web requests and responses between card issuers and cardholders.
MasterCard Fraud Scoring for Merchants API is a risk management solution that calculates risk probabilities associated with card transactions. The API uses a numerical risk scoring range to show the likelihood of fraud.
MasterCard Retail Locations Insights API provides monthly data of the business performance of retail merchant locations. Developers wishing to get data about a particular business locations' customer traffic, rental costs, and growth potential would find this API useful.
Truly Wireless is a mobile phone sales platform. Their technology allows for tracking of voice conversations and customer interactions, also improved call quality, user and phone network management. Kore is a secure, compliant messaging bot platform for enterprises and developers. The Kore Messaging Platform API allows developers to create, modify, and manage applications that are integrated with Kore Bots. Elemeno is a content management platform for creating and managing content, and delivering it to any device. Developers can utilize the Elemeno API for accessing content with straightforward HTTP requests from any platform or device that can communicate via HTTP. Acquia is a Drupal services provider. Drupal is an open source content management system that is built and maintained by the Drupal community. Acquia provides interfaces that are exposed as APIs to import and export data from the Acquia Lift service.
