Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sixteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories such as Machine Learning, Recognition, Video, and Politics. Highlights today include an API for random Donald Trump quotes and an API for GitHub Projects programmatic access. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
TinEye makes APIs available for developers wanting to add reverse image search ability to applications. TinEye MobileEngine API takes an image and quickly and accurately compares it with a database of photos and product images. This interface can be used to identify books, wallpapers, magazines, CD covers, artwork, and developers can build searchable product catalogs for end-users. TinEye WineEngine API works by comparing a photo of a wine bottle against a collection of reference images, and has an exceptional recognition rate. This API not only supports wines, but other beverages such as beer and spirits as well, and works even with low-quality mobile images. These APIs are listed under the Recognition category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Recognition APIs.

The GitHub Projects API allows developers to modify, update, and create repository information within the GitHub environment. This API is currently in early access; so, modifications can occur without advance notice. Only 30 seconds are available per occurrence. During early access, developers must have a custom media type in the accept header. This API is listed under the Database category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Database APIs.
Developers can add random Donald Trump quotes to applications with the What Does Trump Think API. An endpoint gets you all generic Donald Trump quotes. Various other endpoints gets a personalized Donald Trump quote or a random quote. This API is listed under the Politics category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Politics APIs.
Dotsub is a platform for subtitles and online video translation. The Dotsub REST API integrates transcription and translation of video in various languages. This API is listed under the Translation category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Translation APIs.

uCommerce is .NET based e-Commerce system for Umbraco CMS and Sitecore CMS. The uCommerce API allows developers to integrate eCommerce features such as order, catalog, transaction, search, and marketing. The uCommerce API is listed under the eCommerce category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of eCommerce APIs.
LearnCube is a learning management system. They offer virtual classrooms, virtual schools, eCourses, assessments, and CRM administration. The LearnCube Virtual Classroom API integrates online teaching and learning features in REST architecture. It is available with JSON responses and token authentication. Full API access is available by request. The LearnCube Virtual Classroom API is listed under the Learning Management Systems category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Learning Management Systems APIs.
Zype is an OTT (over the top content) video platform. Zype API integrates video features into applications, aiming to convert fans into customers. The Zype API is listed under the Video category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Video APIs.
Neuron uses machine learning to make APIs and other technology get intelligence from textual data. Developers can integrate apps with machine learning features such as natural language processing & sentiment analysis via Neuron API The API is listed under the Machine Learning category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Machine Learning APIs.
Body Labs is a body, shape, pose and motion analysis solution provider. The Body Labs Blue API allows developers to predict a customer's clothing size based on their height and weight. Body Labs Blue uses AI and machine learning algorithms to predict 19 additional, highly accurate body measurements. Customers can refine six key measurements predicted by Blue to help improve the service's accuracy. Body Labs also provides Body Kit, an SDK that promises "the easiest and most powerful way to build apps and tools surrounding the human body." The Body Labs Blue API is listed under the Clothing category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Clothing APIs.
The Credport API provides user reputation services. It can be useful for customers interested in growing communities in a sharing economy. Currently, development is suspended. Therefore, programmers can read-only the documentation as a reference point. This API is listed in the Reputation category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Reputation APIs.
Pluxbox provides online solutions for radio broadcasters. Pluxbos RadioManager product provides live production, social media templates, broadcast information and schedule management tools. Developers can implement the Pluxbox API to integrate radio broadcasting management into applications. The API is listed under the Platform-as-a-Service category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Platform-as-a-Service APIs.
Verisign is a provider of internet security and domain services. Developers can access domain name generator data for website addresses via the Verisign DomainScope API, which is listed under the Domains category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Domains APIs.

Customer.guru is a service designed to get actionable feedback from customers and track customer opinions over time. It uses the Net Promoter Score (NPS), a widely-used customer loyalty metric that's based on how likely a customer is to recommend a given product or service to a friend. The Customer.guru API allows developers to schedule new customer surveys. We've listed this API in the Feedback category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Feedback APIs.
The W3C Remote Playback API is a specification that defines an API for controlling the remote playback of media from a webpage on devices such as connected TVs, projectors, and audio-only speakers. It is intended to account for whether a given device is connected using wired (HDMI, DVI, etc.) or wireless (Miracast, Chromecast, etc.) technologies. The API is listed under the Media category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Media APIs.
Higher Logic is a cloud-based community platform that brings people together to share and drive content creation. Developers can get programmatic access to the Higher Logic community platform via their API. The Higher Logic API is listed under the Community category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Community APIs.
