Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at email@example.com.
Thirteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Telephony, Platform-as-a-Service, Big Data, and API Design. Featured today is an API from Paw API development tool for Mac and Vantiv APIs for payments. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
Paw is an API development tool which provides a way to build a Mac app that makes it easy to test web APIs. Pawprints provides a way to share your request/response exchanges from Paw. Create Pawprints from the command line or directly with the API and embed them in your own website. This Pawprint APITrack this API allows users to create new Pawprints, grant access rights for Pawprints to other users, and delete Pawprints. The API is listed under the Testing category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Testing APIs.
The Stoplight platform provides a suite of products that cover the entire pre-production API lifecycle to model, document, mock, and test web APIs. Stoplight launched their Scenarios tool to automate and debug web APIs earlier this year. The Stoplight APITrack this API enables users to programmatically get data out of, and put data into Stoplight. It allows developers to publish and unpublish hosted documentation that enables automation and integrations into existing workflows. The API is listed under the API Design category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of API Design APIs.
Appian provides a platform to build applications which utilizes a shared microservice architecture to automate any process without the need for custom code. The Appian APITrack this API allows you to create Appian Plug-Ins and related actions that can be embedded on other Web sites using HTML5 web components. This API is listed under the Platform-as-a-Service category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Platform-as-a-Service APIs.
CALLR is a global voice and messaging service. The CallR Webhooks APITrack this API enables applications to subscribe to events that will push a JSON payload to a URL whenever the events occur. It provides webhooks in the form of HTTP POST for all kinds of trigger events that you can use to build a real-time experience for your users. This includes; Events, Pushed data, HMAC signature, Retries and more. This API is listed under the Telephony category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Telephony APIs.
The Lexper APITrack this API allows developers to extract clean text from HTML articles in any language. Lexper extracts the main text and HTML bodies of an article, author, the media present (Images and videos), RSS feeds and other social feeds like Facebook and Twitter timelines or Youtube channels, etc, as well as any embedded social widgets (Tweets, videos, etc.). The API can extract data in any language and is listed in our Data Mining category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Data Mining APIs.
Privitar offers privacy and security engineering services, tools, and functions. Access to the Privitar APITrack this API is available with an account, and will allow developers to integrate the functionality of Privitar with other applications. Privitar can help reduce risk and protect data against breach and regulatory penalties. The API is listed under the Privacy category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Privacy APIs.
