Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nine APIs were added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in Auto, Chat, Natural Language Processing, and other categories. Highlights today include a connected car API for French auto manufacturer PSA Group and chat APIs from Chatra. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
French car manufacturer PSA Group offers developers the Connected Car API, which provides access to more than 89 car signals from the following manufacturers: Peugeot, Citroën, and DS Automobiles. Developers do not need a PSA Group car in order to build applications. The following domains are supported: telemetry, maintenance and alerting, and correlation. This API is listed under the Auto category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Auto APIs.

The Wordsmith API is an instant publishing solution for a variety of bulk content such as articles, blogs, and reports. The RESTful API functions as a natural language generation tool that uses powerful templates to convert huge volumes of data into text without compromising the uniqueness of each piece of content. The Wordsmith API is listed under the Natural Language Processing category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Natural Language Processing APIs.
The Electric Imp Build API is an alternative portal for accessing Electric Imp's Web-based IDE. Developers use the API to construct imp application models. A developer can manipulate the API's functionality attributes to create and delete models in addition to generating model lists and their corresponding devices. The fourth version of the Electric Imp Build API is a beta release with ample documentation. The Electric Imp Build API is listed under the IDE category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of IDE APIs.
Dwolla is an ecommerce payments platform. The Dwolla Webhooks API is available for developers interested in creating new webhook subscriptions. It should be noted also that Dwolla recently announced that their existing API for white label customers is being expanded to accomodate same-day ACH. The Dwolla Webhooks API is listed under the Webhooks category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Webhooks APIs.
Recast.AI is a collaborative bot platform which integrates applications with speech and conversation understanding. The platform has applications for business, travel, and productivity. Recast.AI API is free for developers with unlimited public bots, but limits API calls to 15,000 per month; enterprise plans are also available. This API is listed under the Bots category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Bots APIs.

TinEye makes APIs available for developers wanting to add reverse image search ability to applications. The TinEye MatchEngine API can find duplicates and derivatives of existing images in an image collection. This API compares incoming profile or UGC images against an image blacklist, and identifies pictures that have watermarks or have been cropped. This API is listed under the Recognition category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Recognition APIs.
