Daily API RoundUp: Pushover, Ricoh THETA, Falkonry, CyberArk

Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or Source Code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb's directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there's a listing in one of our directories that you'd like to claim as the owner, please contact us at editor@programmableweb.com.

Fourteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Manufacturing, Cameras, and News Services. Highlights include the Feedster API for integrating RSS Feed sinto applications and the Ricoh THETA API for programmatic access to 360 degree camera imagery. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.

Ricoh THETA provides camera products to record 360° images and audio. The RICOH THETA API conforms to the Open Spherical Camera API Version 2.0 (OSC) by Google. Wireless LAN is used for communication between a client and RICOH THETA. That acts as an HTTP server that uses APIs to GET and POST requests. The 360° spatial audio also allows users to record sound from all directions. The Ricoh THETA API is listed under the Cameras category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Cameras APIs.

The VIN decoder works within North America, Asia, and Europe. This API is listed under the Auto category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Auto APIs.

RapidAPI is an API marketplace for developers to discover, evaluate, and connect to thousands of public APIs. The RapidAPI Marketplace API allows users to find, test and connect to APIs. It also provides a way to make an API available to hundreds of thousands of active developers. A RapidAPI Webhooks API is available to connect to RapidAPI and get specific event notifications. Both APIs are listed under the Marketplace category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Marketplace APIs.

The MTV News API returns music news data in JSON format. Developers can get an API Key to search MTV News and access live examples that include top headlines and recent search articles. This API is listed under the News Services category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of News Services APIs.

Feedster is a RSS feed aggregation and management service. The Feedster API allows Integration into the Platform, user management, and multifeed options. Developers can integrate with Feedster to build searchable, aggregated RSS feeds. The API responds in JSON. The Feedster API is also listed under the News Services category.

Falkonry uses Machine Learning to make industrial operations run smoothly. The platform extracts data from industrial source systems such as PLCs, servers, and sensors and offers a solution that integrates with operations management and monitoring systems. The Falkonry Pipeline API allows the creation of pipelines, loads signal data into the pipeline's event buffer, retrieves conditions assessment data, and more. The Falkonry API is listed under the Machine Learning category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Machine Learning APIs.

The Sport Fixtures API provides the latest fixtures in the Premier League. The API supports lists of sports, lists of tournaments, specific tournament information, events in a tournament, and specific events. JSON is the preferred response format. This API is listed under the Sports category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Sports APIs.

Rev.io is a SaaS recurring revenue, billing, and customer management platform. The Rev.io SOAP API provides a way to request data from REV.io with methods for agents, allowances, attachments, audit, bill profiles, bills, charges and more. As previously mentioned, there is also a Rev.io REST API in the ProgrammableWeb directory. Both Rev.io APIs are categorized under the Billing category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Billing APIs.

Pushover is a notification service for Android, iPhone, iPad, and desktop Web Browsers. Pushover is provided by a technology company called Superblock. We've added four Pushover APIs to our Notifications category and they are listed below.

Pushover Glances API allows developers to push short strings of text or numerical data to a constantly-updating screen (such as a smartwatch) or widget. These pieces of data should be low-priority. They should also be concise since they are likely to be viewed on small screens, such as a watch face.

Pushover Delivery Groups API allows developers to broadcast notifications to multiple users at once using a group token rather than multiple user tokens.

Pushover Open Client API allows advanced users to write their own native clients for receiving push notifications.

Pushover Licensing API allows developers to permanently assign pre-paid license credits to Pushover user accounts. This API is intended for organizations purchasing Android, iOS, or Desktop licenses on behalf of their employees or customers.
