Daily API RoundUp: Think Silicon, Instructure, Blizzard Entertainment

Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. Ten APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Video, Education, Graphics, and Games. One highlight today an API from Instructure that can be used to make learning management and education applications . Here's a rundown of the latest additions.

APIs

Cockos Incorporated makes software for audio, music, images, file tools, and more. Their REAPER software is used by Windows and OS X platforms for producing multimedia content via PCs or Macs. It is useful for importing audios and MIDI in addition to synthesizing, sampling, editing, composing, arranging, or mixing hits and other audio content. Cockos ReaScript API supports the deployment of REAPER when editing, running, or debugging scripts. It is an indirect API that is accessible through SDKs operating on EEL, Python, and Lua language platforms. The API is listed under the Audio category. Anacode offers natural language processing and text analytics solutions. Anacode's Web&Text REST API allows developers to enable applications for web data collection, natural language processing, and text analysis functionalities tailored to the Chinese. The API allows businesses to extract insights from Chinese customer and market feedback. The API is suited for users who don't speak Chinese and want a quick, hands-on start with "native" data. VisageCloud uses deep learning algorithms for face recognition and classification with data querying, tagging and querying techniques. The VisageCloud API is a REST API that can be applied to applications for access to face recognition and classification capabilities. Instructure is a leading provider of innovative education software solutions for K-12 and higher education domains. The Instructure Canvas Mobile APP API supports the development of learning management systems and classroom applications for students and teachers. The API provides academic information such as announcements, conversations, discussions, assignments, files, people, and quizzes, among others. The API is listed under the Education category. The HearthstoneJSON API is Blizzard Entertainment's official API for building game applications for Hearthstone cards. Its cards.json file hosts a card object lists of all the cards in the game. The API is programmed to recognize every single item in a playing stack as a card. The API conveys requests and responses in JSON format and is listed in our Games category. Think Silicon NemaGFX Graphics API aids in expediting the development of Graphics User Interface (GUI) for embedded and wearable devices. The technology is designed to minimize battery or energy consumption. Developers can use the API to access various geometric primitives in addition to affine and 3D functionalities spanning the 2D/3D rotation, scaling, and shearing domains among others. UK Vehicle Data DVLA Vehicle Database API offers UK vehicle information in JSON format. Developers can customize their own data-packages to receive essential and technical DVLA data, keeper V5C data, registration, condition, and color information. OneOm is a torrent search engine. The OneOm API returns torrent files, magnet links, and subtitles for TV shows. Methods include listing TV shows with runtime dates and images, searching for TV shows by title, and obtaining TV schedules for a specific date. The API is listed under the Torrents category. Intelipost is a Brazilian provider of logistics and freight management services. The company offers multi-freight shipping tracking and calculations, invoice auditing, postal service reimbursement support, and analytics.
