Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb's directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there's a listing in one of our directories that you'd like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Twelve APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Email, Bitcoin, and Monetization. Highlights include APIs in our Auto and Transportation categories, including Uber Riders three APIs from Mercedes-Benz. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
Uber is a ride, delivery and shared transport service available in over 750 cities around the world. The Uber Riders API allows developers to integrate the ability to request a ride through Uber into third-party applications. Applications integrated with the API allow prospective riders to select the Uber service they need, specify their pickup and dropoff locations, and get time and price estimates for the trip. The API also includes endpoints for Ride Promotions and an Affiliate program. This API is listed under the Transportation category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Transportation APIs.
MoonMail provides a simple email marketing service. The MoonMail Recipients API is organized around the REST methodology and allows users to easily inject, repair and burn off recipients and metafields from their space. Developers can use the API to manage recipients and lists. MoonMail Recipients API is listed under the Email category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Email APIs.
Encoder Farm is a video encoding service. The Encoder Farm API converts user-generated videos into formats for streaming. The encoding platform is a REST service that receives progress callbacks to a server, uses preset templates for all devices and formats, allows users to create their own profiles using JSON and more. It supports Google Cloud, Amazon S3 and FTP with virtually any input video format. It is multi-bitrate HLS encoding and streaming with support for H264, HEVC and 4K output. The API is listed under the Encoding category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Encoding APIs.
APIseeds provides simple APIs for enriching applications. The APIseeds Exchange Rate API allows developers to integrate currency exchange rate capabilities with their applications. The API supports more than 1,400 world currencies and cryptocurrencies, returns JSON formatted data, and is listed in our Currency category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Currency APIs.
GuideStar provides information about IRS-registered nonprofit organizations in the U.S. Their database includes organizations' finances, impact, governance, reputation, programs, legitimacy, mission, etc. The GuideStar Premier API combines nonprofit-supplied data from the GuideStar Exchange program with data from other sources to provide comprehensive information about millions of organizations. The GuideStar Essentials API allows users to find relevant nonprofits by using search terms or search criteria. Users can generate a list of nonprofits and gain a summary of each. The Org ID in the results is then used to get additional data from the Premier API. GuideStar APIs are listed under the Non-Profit category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Non-Profit APIs.
ACINQ is a technology company that builds products and services for the Bitcoin ecosystem. The ACINQ Strike API provides a way to process lightning payments and receive aggregated Bitcoin transactions. A Strike dashboard allows users to monitor payments in real time. API methods are available to manage charges and more. The ACINQ Strike Webhooks API will send you a notification when a Strike payment has been made. ACINQ APIs are filed in the Bitcoin category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Bitcoin APIs.
The Mercedes-Benz Car Configurator API allows users to integrate Mercedes-Benz vehicle data and images into a configurator application. The provides access to images and data regarding all current Mercede-Benz models through a single interface. Applications equipped with the API can configure a custom car by vehicle models, images of interiors and exteriors, colors, engines, rims, trims, upholstery, equipment options and more, and then generate code to save the entire configuration for future references.
The Mercedes-Benz Dealer API interface enables applications to display the closest Mercedes–Benz dealership, services and hours.
The Mercedes-Benz Vehicle Images API provides images for vehicles identified by a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or Fahrzeugidentifikationsnummer (FIN). Images include different vehicle interior and exterior perspectives in different angles as specified by input parameters, plus different vehicle components, such as equipments, wheels, paints, and more.
