Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb's directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there's a listing in one of our directories that you'd like to claim as the owner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Eleven APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Sentiment, Analytics, and Auto. Featured APIs include the Twinword Emotion Analysis API for analyzing sentiment in text, and the Google Cloud Inference API, currently in Alpha release. Here's a look at what is new.
Twinword, a company providing text analysis APIs, has announced the launch of their Emotion Analysis API. The Emotion Analysis API enables developers to build software that reads and detects the emotions of text in a paragraph. The technology is based on artificial intelligence analysis of user intent, topic, or pattern. This API is listed under the Sentiment category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Sentiment APIs.
District of Columbia (DC.Gov) provides an API to integrate urban transport options for services such as the location of taxis in real time. The DC Department of For-Hire Vehicles API supports specific information associated with drivers, trips, and vehicles. The API returns JSON formatted data and is listed in the Transportation category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Transportation APIs.
Google Cloud Inference API allows users to run large scale time series data analysis and gather insights in real time. The Inference API could be used to analyze foot traffic and conversion for retailers, detect data anomalies, identify correlations over sensor data, and many other uses. This API is integrated with other Google Cloud Storage services, but is currently in alpha release and might be changed. We've listed it under the Analytics category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Analytics APIs.
Vehicle Smart fulfills millions of Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) requests for UK businesses every month. The Vehicle Smart API offers VRM lookup for Driver Vehicle and Licensing Agency (DVLA) and Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) data for all UK vehicles. This data enables developers to add tax and MOT data to applications and web services. Data is provided in JSON format. This API is listed under the Auto category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Auto APIs.
From Infinite Loop Development, the Ecuador Car Registration API provides information associated with vehicle registration numbers in Ecuador such as make, model, fuel type, number of seats, and manufacturer. This service is offered as a SOAP interface with XML requests and responses, and is also listed in the Auto category.
VWO is an A/B testing and conversion optimization platform. The Virtual Website Optimizer (VWO) API facilitates the creation and management of VWO accounts, campaigns, and variations. It is a RESTful API that that returns responses in JSON format. This API is listed under the Testing category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Testing APIs.
Zloadr is an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) rating platform. The Zloadr Professional API offers JSON data related to legal structures of cryptocurrency assets, performance, and longevity of assets. The API provides methods for cryptocurrency historical data, latest market quotes for one or more cryptocurrencies, listing market pairs, and more. Developers can test drive the API with a limited plan of daily and monthly calls. This API is listed in our Cryptocurrency category. See ProgrammableWeb's complete list of Cryptocurrency APIs.
Telstra is a global telecommunications and technology company. Included in their telecommunications APIs are:
