DTCC Launches API Marketplace for Post-Trade Financial Services

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), an American post-trade financial services company providing clearing and settlement services to the financial markets, has announced an API marketplace. The marketplace will provide DTCC customers and partners with a single location for APIs developed by DTCC for its various services. This marketplace launches shortly after DTCC announced its first API: a Risk Management as a Service (RMaaS) API.

"The role of technology in advancing the financial services industry is more critical than ever, enabling firms to better meet the evolving needs of clients," Lynn Bishop, DTCC CIO, commented in a press release. "APIs are the building blocks of this digital transformation, and in today's interconnected world, they have risen in prominence and become important to every facet of the enterprise. We look forward to taking advantage of this new technology for the benefit of DTCC and our clients."

DTCC positions the marketplace as an App Store for DTCC APIs. DTCC will continue to roll out APIs through the marketplace that gives customers programmatic access to DTCC's processing functionality. For each API in the marketplace, DTCC has and will publish extensive documentation and training materials to assist developers in using DTCC APIs.

In addition to the RMaaS API, DTCC expects to add a new API soon. It will allow customers to submit, update, and query new and existing claims against Corporate Action events. Visit the API marketplace to learn more.
