The Cogito Intelligence API is capable of processing and analyzing data sets and real-time information including documents, web pages and social media data, so that the meaning and context of the selected data can be deciphered and evaluated as relevant in terms of intelligence and security. The API can also extract the relationships between entities (such as world leaders, terrorist organizations, organized crime, etc), is capable of name recognition, name normalization and identity matching.

In the press release, Andrea Melegari, COO of the Expert System Intelligence Division, states that:

"The volume and diversity of information available today creates a challenge for the best analysts and the best technologies. Cogito Intelligence API delivers all of the features that analysts need to support decision making at the speed of real-time events. Understanding the contextual relevance of information is where semantic technology excels, and this gives our customers a significant advantage for unlocking the true value of their data."

There is a live demo that demonstrates different methods of data input such as selection of different RSS feeds, entering a valid webpage URL and manually entering a block of text.
