Google has recently announced the release of version 3.1 of the Google Ads API BetaTrack this API. With this latest version, the company is adding new ways to view the success of ad campaigns. Specifically, v3.1 adds support for retrieving campaign optimization scores, adds new conversion action categories, and improves support for asynchronous upload of Customer Match data and store sales data.
Using the latest version developers will be able to retrieve optimization scores via Campaign.optimization_score. The API documentation notes that “... optimization score is an estimate of how well your Google Ads account is set to perform. Optimization score runs from 0% to 100%, with 100% meaning that your account can perform at its full potential.” With the addition of new conversion action categories, developers now have access to values that include ADD_TO_CART, BEGIN_CHECKOUT, and BOOK_APPOINTMENT.
Additionally, this update adds a new service: OfflineUserDataJobService. This provides support for asynchronous upload of Customer Match data and store sales data. The announcement notes that some code changes may be required for developers that are migrating from v1/v2.
